Riders can buy bus ticket from anywhere (for example, at the bus stop) by calling an automated touch tone number or going to mobile web, selecting the applicable type of the ticket (zone, adult, senior etc) and paying with their credit. They receive a text message containing their ticket number. The bus driver scans SMS confirmation from the rider's phone and the ticket is validated in real time. If the ticket is validated the driver can issue the standard (paper, magnetic) ticket to the rider.
